Our Dust Control System is designed to remove airborne dust generated by the paper machine in the area between the Yankee dryer and the Pope reel. The system plays a crucial role in preventing fire hazards caused by dust accumulation near the hood and in protecting workers’ health by ensuring a cleaner and safer working environment.
To achieve maximum efficiency, dust produced during the process is captured by a series of special suction boxes positioned between the doctor blade and the reel. The geometry and positioning of these devices are carefully engineered to ensure optimal dust extraction without interfering with machine operation.
Each suction box conveys the dust-laden air through a dedicated ducting network to the main collector, where airflow can be balanced using manual dampers. This allows fine-tuning of the suction performance across the entire system.
In the event of a sheet break, a specialized damper immediately diverts the suction flow, preventing paper fragments from being drawn into the suction boxes and avoiding potential blockages or equipment damage.
The extracted air is then treated in a Venturi scrubber, where dust particles are efficiently separated before the cleaned air is discharged into the atmosphere by a fan.
The result is a safer work environment, reduced fire risk, and a more reliable and stable production process.
Additionally, the suction network can be extended and connected to the rewinder, equipped with special suction boxes strategically placed in dust-generating areas, ensuring effective dust removal throughout downstream operations and maintaining consistent cleanliness across the entire production line.
